续:Monopoly Star War的一些名词解释
在你玩 "星战版大富翁" 时有些星球大战三部曲的地名、物名你可能会感兴趣,以下作了些注解:
Dagobah 犹达 隐居的星球:达高巴星
The swamp planet Dagobah resides in an explored but sparsely populated star system of the same name. The planet, shrouded in mist and covered by clinging vegetation, was the home and hiding place of Yoda the Jedi master.
Hoth 賀斯星
Hoth is the sixth planet in an out-of-the-way star system of the same name. This frozen world of wind, snow and ice was the location of the primary Rebel Alliance base three years after the Battle of Yavin.
Tatooine 沙漠行星:塔图因
Located in the region of space called the Outer Rim Territories, Tatooine is the world on which Luke Skywalker grew up. The planet is home to jawas, Sand People, banthas, Krayt dragons, human settlers and assorted aliens who populate Mos Eisley Spaceport.
Yavin Four
This orbiting moon which features the ruins of a dead civilization called the Massassi, served for a time as the rebel base. The Alliance established a command post in one of the massive temples and it was from here that they launched their assault on the first Death Star.
Cloud City
Cloud City floats high within the atmosphere of the gas-giant planet Bespin. It is a small city of landing platforms, delicate spires, jutting towers and airy plazas all held aloft atop a long repulsorlift unipod. Cloud City's major industry is the mining and exporting of Tibanna gas, but it also serves as a merchant outpost and recreational center.
Death Star 西斯的秘密武器:死星
The Death Star battle station was to be the ultimate weapon in the Empire's terrible arsenal. It was designed and constructed in secret as the answer to the Emperor's problems with the Senate and as a symbol of his New Order. Once it was fully operational, the Emperor ordered the Imperial Senate disbanded and declared that the Empire would keep local star systems in line through the use of fear fear of the Imperial fleet and fear of the Death Star.
Endor (Sanctuary Moon)
This insignificant star system became famous as the
place where the alliance finally won the Galactic Civil War by destroying the second Death Star, killing the Emperor and scattering the remnants of the Imperial fleet.
Coruscant 银河共和国首都行星科劳肯
this planet is considered the jewel of the Core Worlds and has been the seat of interstellar government from the start. Imperial City, with it's majestic spires and dazzling lights, rests at the base of the snow-covered Manarai Mountains. Once it was called Galactic City but since the Emperor changed the name it has remained Imperial City.
Tie Fighter 鈦战机 或 TIE战机
Fast, maneuverable and apparently endless in number, the TIE fighter is the main combat starfighter used by the Empire. Twin ion engines provide the propulsion for these fighters which are controlled by a single pilot. The distinctive hexagonal solar-panel 'wings' that jut from the spherical command pod gather light and convert it into energy that powers the propulsion and weapons systems.
Millennium Falcon 千禧战鹰
this old and battered stock light freighter of Corellian design is approximately twenty-seven meters in length. Some of Han and Chewbacca's modifications include custom security mechanisms, computer-assisted targeting consoles and boosted deflector shields. It also has a more powerful hyperdrive, armored hull and weapons system than allowed for ship of its class, size and designation.
X-Wing Fighter X-Wing 战机
Sometimes also called snub fighters, the X-Wing is a small, single-pilot starfighter that measures 12.5 meters from nose to engine block. With powerful sublight ion engines, a targeting computer, defensive shields, four wing-tipped laser cannons and a limited supply of proton torpedoes, the X-Wing is fast, highly maneuverable and extremely well-armed.
Star Destroyer 星际歼灭舰
The colossal, wedge-shaped capital starships called Star Destroyers are perhaps the most-feared and most instantly recognizable vessels roaming the space lanes. The two newest classes of Star destroyers, the Imperial class and the Super class are found exclusively in the Imperial fleet. An older model, the Victory class, dates back to the end of the Clone Wars and can be found in service among system defense and large corporate constabulary fleets.
Reactor Core
The reactor core, situated in the very heart of the Death Star, houses the battle station's power generator matrix. A fusion reactor of incredible proportions, fed by stellar fuel bottles lining its periphery, produces the raw energy demanded by the Death Star's superlaser, hyperdrive system and its many (768) tractor beams.
Moisture Farm
Moisture farms extract water from the atmosphere for profitable use on dry, desert worlds. The moisture farms of Tatooine, for example, use vaporators to pull water from the air. The water is then used by farmers for drinking and to irrigate subterranean produce farms; sometimes the precious liquid is sold to other inhabitants.
Bounty 赏金(猎人)
Respected and feared throughout the galaxy, bounty hunters are employed by criminals such as Jabba the Hutt or, in extreme cases, even by the Empire for their mercenary services.
Docking Tax 机场税
Many planets have landing ports for visiting spacecraft and charge them according to size and tonnage. Docking Bay 94 in Mos Eisley, where the Millennium Falcon was temporarily stationed for example, consists of an entrance ramp and a restraining wall that surrounds a shallow pit. The pit deflects and absorbs the blasts associated with starship takeoffs and landings, though by law those ships equipped with repulsorlifts must use them when entering and leaving the docking bays. |
