[转帖] Yet Another Docking Update: Docking Controls

I don't know about you, but I don't have enough hands to operate the WSAD keys, IJKL keys and the mouse at the same time.

For docking, having full control over translation and rotation is a very important thing, but if you have to take your hand off the mouse, that means you can't control the camera anymore, and no camera control means you lose all sense of depth. If you've tried docking manually using the mods you've probably come across this situation. You're perfectly lined up it seems, but you overshoot or undershoot the target. Then you pan the camera around a bit, and you see that you were offset by a wide margin, but your offset was hidden by the camera angle.
(在对接的时候,同时控制旋转,平移是非常重要的,但是旋转摄像机也是重要的,而我们没有三只手对吧。你有?)

So, no camera control makes docking a very frustrating task. But keeping the right hand on the mouse means you have to use the left to operate both WSADQE and IJKLHN, plus SAS. That's 13 keys for 4 fingers. Not exactly ergonomic is it?
(所以对接的时候不能自如的旋转摄像机会很不爽。但是用右手控制摄像机,那你就必须用左手的4个手指控制其他13个键)

So, we need controls that are better suited for docking. This was the subject of much brain-bashing here, as we tried to figure out what the best control mode would be.

In the end, this is what we came up with:

There are now two main UI modes to control a ship by. Staging mode and Docking mode (Docking mode might be renamed yet).

On Staging mode, controls work as they do now. WSADQE controls rotation, IJKLHN controls translation, Ctrl and Shift handle throttle, and Space steps through the stages. That's fine for launching or flying spaceplanes, but in orbit, it falls short, and after your stages are stepped through, you're left with a mighty big key that does essentially nothing.

So, enter Docking mode. In this mode, controls change to a (hopefully) better scheme. Now, linear and rotation controls work in a similar way as with EVAs. WSAD controls fwd/back, left/right translation, QE rolls the ship, and Shift and Ctrl control UP/Down translation.
(入轨之后,切换到Docking模式,这种模式中,你的操作方法有点类似现在的EVA,就是操作宇航员在太空行动的方法。WSAD控制前进后退,左右平移,QE旋转,shift和Ctrl控制上下平移)


Wait a minute, what of the rotation controls then? Well, this is where the mighty big button at your thumb comes in. In Docking mode, the Space bar will switch between rotation and translation, and change the function of the WSAD keys.
(上面的操作没有提到旋转。在Docking模式中,空格键变成了切换平移与旋转模式的开关,每次按空格,WSAD的功能就会变化)
We've been testing this new system here, and everyone agrees that it's a far better solution to controlling a vessel in orbit than the old system was.

Along with the control scheme switch, the new Docking UI mode has a few new bits that are worth mentioning. When you go into docking mode, the staging panel on the bottom right retracts away, while a new docking mode input quadrant pops in. This quadrant shows the usual pitch, yaw and roll gauges, plus new XY and Z gauges, and an indicator that lets you know whether you're in linear or rotation mode.

Also, when you're in linear mode, SAS is turned on automatically, so the ship will hold orientation while you translate, and it comes off again when you go into rotation mode, to let you rotate the ship unimpeded.
(在平移模式中,SAS自动打开,所以飞船会保持指向不变。当切换到旋转模式的时候,SAS自动关闭)
The behaviour of the space bar as a toggle switch is also customizable. We had some debate whether you should hold the space bar to rotate, or press it to toggle back and forth... Unable to reach a consensus, we had it set so that double-tapping the spacebar will switch between toggle and hold behaviours.

However, we don't want to impose the new system on everyone. Maybe you do have three hands. Maybe you've used the old controls so much you got good at it, so we wanted to make this change as optional as possible.

For that reason, we've separated all the input bindings used for the new control mode, and you're able to remap them however you see fit. Even going as far as disabling the entire system if you want. You can also set all key bindings to be operational either in rot mode, or lin mode, or both, or none, if you want to remap it to something we might not have thought of.
(所以,现在按键自定义面板把staging和docking分离开,你可以分别设置按键)


So, that did it for docking controls. However, there is still one big issue that makes docking frustrating. The fact that the ship can be rotated in just about any way in relation to the camera.
(另外一个重要的问题是,船的旋转和摄像机是分离的,这样有时候上下左右会颠倒)
The solution for that was straightforward. Now the "Chase" camera mode is relative to the ship (and by ship I mean, whatever command pod you choose to control from), so it rotates as the ship does, and 'up' is always up to the ship, and so on.
(解决方案很简单,现在摄像机的“Chase”模式与飞船的旋转是锁定的,所以你屏幕的上总是等于飞船的上)


Of course, you can still use the "Free" and "Orbital" camera modes.

So, in the end, it's not a one-size-fits-all control solution, but hopefully we've made it flexible enough that everyone will be able to find a setup that works for them.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, that third button there will take you to the map (Map controls are the same as in Staging mode).

Update:

After doing a few dockings using the new system, I did eject a few stages by accident from using the space bar on the wrong mode.
(在做了一些测试之后,我常常不小心在错误的模式中用空格键把船分离了。记得如果你从Docking模式回到Staging模式,空格又变成了分离命令吧?)
To reduce the chances of that happening, I set the UI mode selector to step the staging back if you go into docking mode. This way, when you return to Staging mode, you'll find the staging LED blinking, like when you're ready to launch. That gives you one "safe" space bar press before you realize what you're about to do.
(为了防止这类误操作发生,我对界面做了一些改动,当你从Docking模式回到Staging模式的时候,船的分级会退回一格,并且Staging LED会闪烁,就像你在发射台上看到的那样。这就给了你一个额外的“安全”空格操作,让你知道你到底在干什么)
That should reduce the number of accidental staging mishaps from forgetting the mode you're on. If it still happens even with this system in place, well, you should probably use the staging lock then.
(这样应该能防止一些误操作,但如果你还是老发生这种错误,那你应该考虑使用分离锁。啥是分离锁?)

有RendezMe会合兼对接辅助这个插件,两只手足够了,实际上一个手也操作的过来。
个人认为这个设计有些繁琐,而且容易让人误操作,即便有Alt+L的分离锁设定,但依然很容易出现误操作(尽管不一定导致什么后果)。
当然那个四分仪的UI设定似乎还算比较不错。

毕竟这是官方支持。不是每个人都喜欢装插件,很多人其实会享受手动操作的乐趣。

还记得看过一个片子,里面的负责对接的宇航员不断在心里祈祷自动对接系统出问题,这样他就可以过一把瘾了。当然他只是心里想想,但是,你能理解他的感受吧?

作为一个0.14版本就开始玩全手动轨道会合与目标捕获回收的玩家,我当然可以理解。
这也是RendezMe被我改造为半自动半手动的原因,也就是说依然让玩家有一定自己的操作量,而不是点了一个什么Auto Rendez & Dock的按钮后完全进入 看戏模式 。

但是说实话,我觉得官方应该先把目标自稳定功能搞出来,虽然现在也有其他插件可以实现(比如ORDA的Computer System附带的ATT-HOLD),但你之前也说了不是所有人都喜欢装插件。全手动对接的时候比较讨厌的就是目标会自行发生自转,哪怕一开始它并没有;这一点相当不科学。会导致缓慢接近预定位置的对接船必须不停地调整位置和朝向。而且目标尺寸越大,需要调整的偏移量也越大;这对于手动操作来说是非常麻烦的,甚至比会合时的变轨操作还要难。

作为一个新手,基本上对手动控制对接无能为力,目前版本的视角调整非常糟糕,居然不能360度任意旋转,经常让我找不到北 ,只好依赖Mod。

看了你发的0.18的界面,发现地图上终于有星球的(或者是飞船的?)象限指示了,对我来说真是福音啊

估计再过大概2个版本KSP就完全能出1.0了……

个人以为在没有建立起成本与收益这套东西之前,还远没有到正式版的程度。
正式版估计是让你玩运营,嘛。。。花钱造火箭和雇佣宇航员,完成各种探索任务后获得收益,然后部分资金用于解开科技树,获取更高级更高效的零部件。

好吧,这估计还有的等。。。
