Overview
Microsoft has signed a licensing agreement with ACM providing all ACM Student Members with access, at no charge, to a variety (~ 100) of software packages through its Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA). The goal of this program is to get these tools into the hands of current students. All active ACM Student Members are eligible to participate in the ACM/MSDNAA Program.
How to Obtain Software
1. MSDNAA software is downloaded from the e-academy website: you can opt in to this member benefit through myACM. After you opt in, ACM will register you with the MSDNAA, and you will receive a "Welcome" message from the e-academy providing you with your username and password; you will be given the URL where you need to login, and you will need to create an MSDNAA profile. Then, whenever you want to login to the MSDNAA site, just go to http://msdn01.e-academy.com/ACM.
2. Once logged into the e-academy site, you will see the Software tab at the top of the screen. On the Software tab, you can choose from a dropdown of available software, or you may click on one of the featured product icons. To complete your selection, add the item to your "shopping cart".
3. The End User License Agreement (EULA) will be presented to you, which you must understand and agree to, if you are to proceed. You will then be asked to supply your name and email address. At the end of the ordering process, your may download the software from their server. E-academy will send you an email receipt of your order, which will also contain any necessary product keys. If you have any questions while using e-academy, please visit the "Support" tab on the e-academy website.
Available Software Titles
E-academy contains only the most in-demand software available via the MSDN Academic Alliance. If you need any software that is not in the e-academy list, please make a request to the ACM MSDNAA Administrator about adding this software to e-academy.
Currently popular Microsoft productivity software titles such as Office, Word and Excel are specifically not available as part of this program.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the program available in languages other than English?
The program is being launched first in English. Other languages may be added in the future depending on demand. If you are interested in having a language added to this program, please let the ACM MSDNAA Administrator know, and we will see if it is possible.
2. What kind of computer is needed for downloading MSDNAA titles through ELMS (E-Academy Licensing Management System)?

For general problems with the installation and/or configuration of your software, please visit Microsoft support at http://support.microsoft.com . If you are having technical difficulty downloading the software directly from e-academy, please see e-academy Automated Support Agent . Technical and software support for the products downloaded through this alliance are not the direct responsibility of ACM. If you continue to have difficulties with your personal hardware or software, please contact the ACM MSDNAA Administrator, [email protected].
4. What should I do if I lost my key for the software package?
