what's the major difference between X3R and X3TC??

I am hard working on X3R right now and haven't tried the X3TC yet. It appears to me that the X3TC and X3R are pretty much alike in terms of universe map, ships and graphics, etc..., though released as two separate standalone games. I've been looking for someone to shed some light. :dizzy:

i dont know... i finally decided to purchase a new computer (actually to diy one), but this may take me months to finish it, not to mention its costy, darn it!

Come on, you cannot keep computers, they would be outdated pretty fast. It doesn't deserve much memory, it is especially unimportant that it was a gift or not. It has to be changed every a few years.
