船员的概念也被引入了,决定战舰性能的发挥和被俘获
Crew
Crew is how many individuals are required to work the ships systems and weapons vs how many are aboard the ship. [36] Crew numbers will be tracked in-game, with crew losses affecting both effectiveness of the ship systems and susceptibility to boarding parties [37] On screen, a ships crew is indicated by two numbers: the amount used and the amount on-board. So a crew of 35/65 would mean that a ship is using 35 out of an available total of 65 crew. [38] At the scales SotS operates at, ships crew come and go far too often and act as far too much as a combat community to convey any sort of "vet" status.

Energy
A new addition to tactical combat, ships now keep track of their energy level. Energy is how much its systems and weapons consume vs how much the ship produces. [42] On screen, a ships energy is indicated by two numbers: the amount used and the amount on-board. So a energy of 90/140 would mean that a ship is using 90 out of an available total of 140 energy. [43] If the energy system is damaged, things like weapon recharge and thrust and shield strength are negatively affected by some amount.

Fleet Size
Fleet size is limited by both command ability of the CnC/Admiral and the support capacity of the naval base the fleet is attached too. [45] In combat, an admiral in the field only has their own command limit to work with, though this command limit is higher than in SotS 1. [46] The outnumbering bonus (which was in SotS 1) no longer applies as the battlefield is no longer abstracted. The player will now have to work for their zones of control. [47] Spare ships are kept at a naval base as reserves and will require a turn to reactivate, so they can NOT jump straight into combat.

Planetary Invasions
"There will be no detailed planetary invasions in sots2 prime...but when there is, it is unlikely to have a special [tech] tree as that just makes it kind of blatant." [49] Ground combat will be a key part of an expansion and more importantly, a new race that is all about the taking and holding of ground. [50] Ground Combat will not be a full RTS. [51] Instead, the plan is for abstracted, fun (and not a micro nightmare) combat where troops are seizing key installations or even cities in order to minimize overall planetary damage.

Salvaging
As in SotS I, a player will have the ability to salvage the technology of the enemy after a battle. In SotS II, the type of "ship death" suffered by the enemy ship will have an impact on salvage chances. Examples of ship death given so far include life support failing or the reactor flaring up. [53]

The more science facilities dedicated to the discipline a technology is in, the more efficiently random Salvage information is saved for a future date. [54]

Horde Zuul Salvaging
The Horde Zuul have a mechanic that allows them to be taught any tech that catches their eye. They retain the old fashioned salvage method as well, in case they are not prepared to pay the price of learning from the Gods.

[56] On screen, a ships supply is indicated by two numbers: the amount used and the amount on-board. So a supply of 76/155 would mean that a ship is using 76 out of an available total of 155 supply. [57]

Morrigi and Hivers have the best supply ratings for their ships. Both raced have learned much about long range spaceflight. [58] The Liir are new to spaceflight but a) have less crew and thus b) their own personal body control makes for a great deal of efficiency. Humans alas, retain the Naval tradition of eating well. [59] There is a supply preservation tech that affects trade goods as well as increasing ship supply.[60]

Fleets always reserve enough supply to crawl home.

Independent Colonies and Minor Races
Independent colonies are now not only made up of splinter colonies of the established races but also whole new minor (meaning non-faster-than-light capable) alien races. The player can expect to find races at a variety of tech levels with a variety of aspects the player may find helpful or not depending on the situation. [15] The independents not only add more detail to the SotSverse, but they also allow players to expand their empire and influence in different ways. There will be an entire set of minor races that will appear randomly from game to game, and while they will always have the same core attributes each time, they will also have some random features that will keep them from being completely predictable.

While conquering an independent will certainly get you access to the world as quickly as possible, it may be possible to peacefully incorporate this world into your empire using diplomacy. The trade-off here is that while you may improve your diplomatic status with the major empires by showing a subtle hand and you might gain access to the minor races' special abilities, the downside is that their money will mostly be their own and they may make decisions about their own world that may not mesh too well with your agenda. [16]

There are "a lot" of new Independent Races, [17] including one named the "Stranglers". [18] Race concepts that are "non-starters" for one reason or another could show up as a Independent Race.

不但可以殖民行星,也可以殖民卫星哦
Gas Giants
While Gas Giants can't themselves be colonized, they can have size 1 to size 3 "moons" that are fully colonizable.

我是预购了正版的,所以一直在跟踪整个过程。从paradox和steam的论坛里看到一个sots2首席剧本写手的blog连接,上面提到这次的作品基本是到了“现在不发就要胎死腹中”的地步,让人浮想联翩(尤其该写手是个女的,还用了“生孩子”作比喻)。现在猜想是两大原因导致这次状况:1)工作室缺少经费,甚至出现开发人员的流失,因此想借先发出游戏来获得喘息的机会谋求未来发展,2)开发商在fans们强烈要求快些推出的外部压力以及自身想要快点套现的内部动因下,顺水推舟发布了半年成品。至于最早先弄出的更早期版本那是人为失误了。

考虑到sots1当年刚发售也是类似的情况(虽然比现在这个好很多),经历过漫长的补丁修复,因此现在我对他们还是抱有希望的。
