i finished the game without collecting 100 artifects.
actually the "Growing" ship system is a really creative idea, and i think it is the first game which using this idea. the majority of space ship games are simply upgrading their by buying better equipement or buy the other ship. but it doesn't really explain how the "biological improvement" works in the entire story. the ship itself just like a lifeform, that why someone said it looks like a "crab" at 30 level.

don't really know what to do after finishing the game. unlike X3, we can keep building space structures or developing industries or even a commerial empire. also, there are very limited number of mods for DSO. people want to keep playing the game but they have nothing to aim for. .. . .

Collecting 100 artifects means you have to travel different sector of DSO universe, and lots of mission to cope with.
After you got all 100 artifects you will get the ZERO-POINT Field Drive and then you can fly to sector Hive-3 to challenge Ascarong Gang (the "after" final mission.)    [S::lol:]

I have put my saved game file here, if you no intention to do the repeating works...
