Ship Rebalance Mod: Continued v1.05
This is a continuation of the Ship Rebalance Mod by SomeoneElse. It contains all the changes made
in the original and is compatible with old SRM saves. Thanks to SomeoneElse for the original SRM
mod. It is compatible with X3TC 3.1

9. Tenjin gains an extra shield slot, more laser energy, hull strength and cargo, but loses speed.
10. New SRM Shipyards Pack scripts. It is now an AL Plugin with configurable interface via
Cycrow’s Community Configuration Plugin. Feature placement is now random with collision
detection, and will handle sector takeovers and features will respawn if destroyed.
11. Removed Decomissioned Shipyards. Corporate Showrooms replace them with other civilian
ships such as freighters and transports for sale in addition to Mk1 ships.
12. Replaced the prototype/advanced shipyards with Corporate Research Stations.
13. Altered Weapons Dealers scripts to take advantage of new random sector code and collision
detection.
14. Replaced old Darkspace Weapons Dealer model with Cadius’ USC Military Outpost model.
15. Added 4x TS/M6 docks to Mobile Research Station. Increased shields to 5x 2GJ.

Changelog for v1.03
1. Swapped Valhalla back to standard M2 as the M0 class stopped it from working correctly.
Set race to “0” instead to stop it spawning with scripts. Jobs are unaffected.
2. Changed cockpit scenes on Split and Teladi Mk1 fighters to PSCO1’s new cockpits.
3. Fixed missing guns on Marauder left turret. It now has four like the right.
4. Increased Marauder’s main guns to six.

14. Z gains an extra shield slot and more laser energy, but loses speed. It gets a price increase.
15. Agamemnon/Akurei gain two new turret models for front turret so each gun now has a unique
firing point.
16. Mani shields reduced to 5x 1MJ, increased turning, rep reduced and large price cut – now
ATF standard M5.
17. Valkyrie has shields increased to 2x 5MJ, increased turning, reduced speed – now ATF M5+.
18. Hel has turning increased, rep reduced and large price cut – now ATF standard M4.
19. Mjollnir has reduced speed, laser energy increased – now ATF M4+.
20. Akurei gets a speed increase, Kariudo gets a speed decrease.

Changelog for v1.02
1. Added new CMOD4 missile particle trails to all trail packs and main mod to help with
corrupted trails on fast missiles causing fps issues.
2. Merged part of Armankessilols Schiffs Expansion mod – Replacement models: Astraeus,
Marlin, Auster, Marauder, Starburst, Starliner. New ships: Argon Nexus, Mobile Research
Station.
3. Due to new model having more turrets, Astraeus is rebalanced to a standard M7 rather than
a carrier. It now has 8 internal docks and 1 external M6 dock.
4. Griffon laser energy reduced to M7 carrier levels.
5. Changed Valhalla class to M0 in the hope that this will stop it being spawned so often by
military scripts.
6. Changed Marauder variant to 0 to remove Hauler prefix.
7. Rebalanced M1 hanger sizes to be more racial and reducing overall numbers to between 30
and 50 to help with FPS when carriers deploy all their fighters.
8. Reduced hangers on Cerberus and Deimos to move them away from the light carrier

Changelog for v1.01
1. Added Otas Maintenance Pods armed with Quantum Pulse Repair Lasers. Using Quantum
Tubes as ammo these will rapidly repair ships’ hulls.
2. Added Quantum Pulse Repair Lasers for use with Maintenance Pods.
3. Altered loadouts on Lofn, Claymore, Setanta and Macana to remove FPD from some or all
turrets.
4. Added extra turret models to up, down and rear turrets on Cerberus so that each weapon

Changelog for v1.00
1. Adjusted EMR compatibility to account for new CMOD4 weapon – The Fusion Pulse
Disruptor – on the same subtype. It is removed from the Baldric and Scabbard and added to
most capital ship turrets, main guns of M7s that have them, Xenon fighters and M6 defensive
turrets.
2. Updated Xtra pack to 1.86, including two new Teladi M7s, one new Argon M7, new models
for the Tobosaku, Hayabusa and Valhalla and three new Xenon ships.

1. Rebalanced speeds of all TLs. It was silly that the TLs were faster than the TSs.
2. Made max and min cargo bays the same for Ryu and Ozias to match other TLs.
3. Changed Ozias to 1GJ shields to match other TLs. Reduced slots to 7.
4. Fixed misaligned weapon/camera dummys on Tiger, J MK1, #deca.deaf, #deca.cefa, Skate,
Kea, Blastclaw, Centaur, Brigantine.
5. Reverted Griffon model to its pre3.0 model with 25 docking slots rather than 9.

able to mount these weapons.
2. Fixed non-firing Aegir main guns.
3. All Perseus variants to L cargo size – in line with other M3s.
4. All Medusa variants to L cargo size – in line with other M3+s.
5. All Pericles variants to M cargo size – in line with other M4s.
6. Xenon M to M cargo size – in line with other M4s.

4. Fixed crash issue with certain Mk1 models when using Algoran’s trail pack.

7. Swapped in the Xtra mod Mobile Mining Base Ship model. The original model can be put

by the X3TC 3.0 patch.

2. Increased hull of all heavy frigates - Thresher, Ocelot, Agamemnon, Tern, Kariudo, Kvasir,
Hayabusa. They are now all at the top end of M7s for hull, just short of M2 values.
3. Increased price of Hayabusa and Kariudo to match other heavy M7s.
4. Changed Tepukei class to TL to stop it being spawned in military patrols. It also received a
large cut in speed and turning as it can dock capital ships and it was silly that it could fly
faster than these.
5. Increased price of Tepukei.
6. Fixed cockpit position on Caiman.
7. Added EMR to warelists so that Terrans will trade it.
8. Increased hull of all three Orbital Weapon Platforms up to near M2 levels.

1. Fixed spawning bugs with the CMOD3:Rebalance addon pack.
2. Changed subtype for the two spare lasers to the Special subtype to free up a subtype for the
EMR to use. This has the side effect of adding two blank entries into the weapons
compatibility list in ship info for ships with special weapon compatibility. EMR now uses its
own subtype.
3. Added compatibility with EMR to most Terran and ATF ships.
Changelog for v0.81
1. Added new CMOD3:Rebalanced addon pack, including a new Terran light weapon – the
Electro-Magnetic Repeater.
2. Adjusted Terran and ATF M4 and M5 laser energy to create a niche for the new EMR
weapon.

Changelog for v0.80
1. Fixed Sabre weapon dummy disappearing when uninstalling weapon even if a weapon is still

2. Added Yaki and ATF M5 Explorers. Added ships to Yaki and ATF shipyard scripts.
3. Removed Vidar’s redundant docking slot.
4. Replaced Argon model on Washi, Shuri, Akurei and Senshi with Paranid equivalent for
consistency.
5. Rebalanced Shuri to be a heavy carrier.
6. Rebalanced Akurei to a light M7.
7. Added IBL up front + R/L turrets on the Kariudo and swapped Argon weapons on turrets for
Paranid.
Changelog for v0.79
1. Spacesuit cockpit scene fixed for cockpit packs.
2. All M8s get XL ware size and lose their built-in jumpdrives due to built-in jds not functioning.
3. Phoenix gains one more shield slot as it’s so big and slow that no enemy fire ever misses.
Also it’s too slow to catch anything OOS so it badly needs an edge.
4. Titan and Ray gain a small amount of speed to better compete with the other M2s.
5. Updated Xtra Mod to 1.78.
6. Hayabusa has rear turret reduced to two guns (this was part of the Xtra 1.78 update).
7. Swapped models for Odin and Tyr to models from Xtra pack (fixes Odin launch bay
positions).
8. Added Xtra pack turret models to vanilla Terran capital ships. Retained BSD external docking
positions for Odin and Woden. Tyr’s docking is now internal.
9. Added text file containing TShips entries for the replacement models for the Mobile Mining
Base Ship and the Mistral Superfreighter from the Xtra Mod. If you wish to use these models
simply replace the existing TShips entries with these.
10. Increased prices on all tunings in the SSRP. It now costs about 500k to max the engine
tunings of a Discoverer and about 3.5m to max the cargo on a superfreighter.
Changelog for v0.78
1. All M6s gain cargo space (except Skiron, Patroclus, Springblossom, AP Gunner, Khaak
Corvette and Hyperion as they are already overpowered).
2. Cerberus and Yokohama gain a small amount of cargo space.
3. Advanced Mamba loses cargo space.
4. Falcon Vanguard, Tonbo, Susanova and Susanova Raider gain cargo.
5. Removed beam weapon compatibility from all M6s.
6. Xtra ship mod updated to 1.77 including new ship Kvasir. All ships balanced to fit SRM.
Removed unused files to reduce download size. The new turrets for vanilla Terran ships will
be added in the next release.

Changelog for v0.77
1. Rebalanced all M5 ships. They are now aligned to established race “lore”. Boron M5s have
gained cargo and shields, but lost weapons energy. Paranid M5s have gained weapons
energy and speed, but lost cargo. Split and Teladi “traits” have been enhanced.
2. All M5 Vanguard variants can now mount PAC. All Pirate M5s can mount PAC. Pirate Harrier
Vanguard can mount mass driver. Removed PAC and mass driver from all other M5 varients.
3. Added new variant of M5 – the “Explorer” variant. They have excellent speed, but poor
weapons, manoeuvrability and shielding. These are now the only fighters to come with built
in Triplex Scanners. They also have built in explorer command software.
4. Added new script to the shipyard pack to add Explorer M5s to shipyards.
5. Changed shield type on Baldric Superfreighter to 200MJ.
6. Adjusted speeds of all TS Miner variants to be slower than the basic model but faster than
the Hauler model.

9. Rebalanced all M4 ships in keeping with established lore. Boron M4s have lost weapons

shields. Other traits have been enhanced. Eurus has received a much needed stat boost.
10. All M4 Vanguard variants can mount medium missiles. All other variants can only mount light
and dumbfire. Adjusted weapon loadouts to be more racial. Pirate and Yaki M4s can now
mount a larger selection including the pirate light weapon.
11. Renamed Kite Vanguard to Kite Prototype as it’s in with the other prototype ships.
12. Rebalanced all M3 ships. All M3s have had a slight weapons energy increase, except Borons
who have lost energy. A few ships have gained shields – Medusa, Chimera, Skate, Kea and
Notus. Falcon and all Barracuda’s have all gained one shield slot to compensate for not
having a rear turret. Teladi M3s have had a slight speed increase but lost some cargo space.
Falcon Sentinel shields are down to 6x 25MJ. Falcon Hauler is no longer XL compatible.
13. Reduced turning on Split and Boron M1s and M2s – they are still better than the rest though.
14. All commonwealth M6s get a speed and weapons boost. (except Patroclus)
15. P gains a third shield slot.

5. Updated all three trails packs. Algoran’s now includes custom Yaki and Otas trails.

2. Added two new ships by Axeface – The Megalodon (his Lucsa) and the Patroclus (his
Thanatos). Rebalanced both ships to fit with SRM. The Megalodon has been transformed
into a shield buster. It can only mount Ion based weapons on the front.
3. Increased speed of Enhanced Chimera and removed one shield slot.
4. Increased speed of Shrike slightly.
5. Deimos loses one shield, gains speed and a few more docking slots.
6. Tern, Agamemnon, Thresher and Ocelot have been transformed into Heavy Assault
Frigates, able to mount heavy capital weapons on one or two turrets at the expense of some
speed and manoeuvrability (Thresher has simply moved its heavy weapons to side turrets
from the front guns). Their prices and rep have been increased accordingly.
7. Added Megalodon and Patroclus to the Xtra shipyard script and the Tern to the Other Ships
shipyard script in the Shipyards Pack.
8. Adjusted a few prices in the Ship Systems Rebalance Pack – Jumpdrive price is down
slightly, Ore Collector price is down, MARS price is increased to 2 million. Docking Computer
is changed to XL ware size.

1. Added new trail pack – Engine Effects v1.3 by Algoran. NOTE: due to making the three trail
packs compatible this does not feature separate trails for Otas or Yaki ships or any Corvette
trails.
2. Added new No-Civs Xtra Jobs pack v2.1 – created by vkerinav. This jobs pack is based on a
no civilians jobs mod and will spawn many of the new ships introduced by the SRM.
3. Updated cockpit packs to 1.26b
4. Reduced speed of Susanova Prototype.
5. Altered variation index of Mani and Verdandi to facilitate jobs spawning.

Combat Mod 4
V4.8
This is a continuance of Ulfus’ excellent CMOD3 to address a few balance issues and to keep
compatibility with the latest patch of X3TC – v3.1
Addon packs
While the base mod should be compatible with most other mods, there are certain files that are required to
use the EMR and beam weapons. These include files which will likely conflict with other mods so I have
decided to put these into optional addon packs.
 Factory Pack – This adds EMR and beam weapon forges to the universe. It includes a modded
TFactories and WareTemplate.
 Factory Pack Scripts Only – This is a script only version of the factory pack for SRM users.
 EMR/FPD Compatiblity Pack – This includes a version of the vanilla TShips and TCockpits where the
EMR and FPD have been added to Terran ships.
I highly recommend the Ship Rebalance Mod: Continued for use with the Combat Mod 4. The SRM rebalances
almost every ship in the game as well as adding new ships. SRM users only need the base CMOD4 mod and the
scripts only factory pack.
Note – With V4.4 onwards some older scripts have become redundant. Please remove the following from your
scripts folder if you have installed any previous versions: “setup.emr2.cmod.xml” and “setup.emr3.cmod.xml”.
Electro-Magnetic Repeater + Fusion Pulse Disruptor
These are two new weapons that have been added to compensate for the Terran’s not having a proper light
weapon for fighters or a non-ammo based medium weapon. Due to limitations with X3TC the EMR and FPD
have had to be added to the spare weapon subtype and thus will not appear on ships compatibility lists
automatically. It will also not be spawned by AI ships unless specified by a script. This is the only way it can be
added to the game without forcing a restart.
In order to give your ships EMR + FPD compatibility you must either use the provided EMR/FPD Compatibility
pack or manually add the Unknown Laser 2 subtype to ships in TCockpits and TShips if using a mod that
changes these files. The EMR will appear on all ships. The FPD will only appear on ships with XL ware
compatibility. Ask the Mod creator for help on how to do this or ask in the CMOD4 thread. SRM users must not
use the EMR/FPD compatibility pack. The SRM already has EMR/FPD compatibility built in.
V4.8 Changes:
 Changed Gamma Kyon ware size to ST to mask it from new Kha’ak ships added in the SRM and Xtra
mod.
 EMR/FPD Compatibility pack – changed Guardian cargo size to ST to keep its Gamma Kyon
compatibility – Recommend that all mods that alter TShips do the same.
 Overhaul of Factory Pack. It is now a configurable AL Plugin, with random positioning of features and
collision detection.
 PBC – Shorter beam duration, increase in fire rate, increase in shield damage, reduction in range – to
help make laser towers more effective.
V4.7 Changes:
 Missile Pack – Increased acceleration of Spectre so its in-line with other medium missiles.
 Updated Weapons Dealers plugin with new random spawning locations with collision detection.
 SRM 1.04 compatibility.
 Fixed missing sounds for FBC and PBC.
 Removed ambient bullet sounds and launch effects from all beams (except alpha and beta Kyons) to
help with FPS.
V4.6 Changes:
 Missile Pack – Removed retarget ability from bomber and missile frigate heavy missiles.
 Missile Pack – Halved the price of all missiles (they are far more likely to get shot down with turret
scripts so need the price reduction to be viable).
 Reduced hitbox slightly on EMPC, MD, HEPT, FBL, EBC, FAA, Gauss, all Kyons.
 Increased hitbox on IPG, PAL,
 Slight reduction in recharge rates of 1MJ and 200MJ shields.
 Increased volume (sound) and audible distance of large explosions, capital ship weapons and other
large weapons.
 Increase in both shield and hull damage for Gamma Kyon’s due to Kha’ak M2 only mounting three in
each turret.
 Increase in shield damage for Alpha and Beta Kyons as they were a little low. Reduced Beta Kyon hull
damage a little.
V4.5 Changes:
 SRM Compatibility - Added weapon specifically for use with the SRM Maintenance Pods – The
Quantum Pulse Repair Laser. Its ware size is 6 so it should not appear on any ship’s compatibility lists.
Ignore if not using SRM.
 Added new Missile Rebalance Pack specifically for use with turret scripts such as MDMk2 and MARS.
All missiles have increased speeds, dumbfire missiles have been converted to low turn rate tracking
missiles with proximity fuses. Damage, blast radii, special abilities, prices and reps have all been
rebalanced. New colour coded icons to help with missile selection.
 FAA – Reduced shield and hull damage slightly.
 CFA – reduced hull damage.
 Reduced hit box slightly for those weapons that were increased in the previous version as some
bullets were hitting too far away from the model.
 Reduced PBE hit box a lot to make it less effective and more in-balance with PRG.
 Increased missile delivery numbers and added shields to weapons dealers.
V4.4 Changes:
 PBC + FBC – slight reduction in beam durations.
 ISR – Further reduction in rate of fire and bullet speed. Reduced hit box so its less effective against
fighters.
 Added rep requirements for all missiles that were missing them - for use with scripts where these
missiles are available for purchase.
 Added weapons dealers AL plugin.
 Added new Terran medium weapon – Fusion Pulse Disruptor
 Updated factory pack with forges for FPD and the EMR/FPD compatibility pack to add FPD to vanilla
ships.
 PRG + PBE + FAA + CFA + HEPT – increased hit box so they are more effective against fighters.
 CFA + FBL – Removed fragmentation flag as it was pointless. They don’t actually get created unless
the bullet misses its target so they are just a waste of CPU cycles. Both gain a little damage to
compensate.
V4.3 Changes:
 IPG – slight reduction in shield damage.
 ISR – Increase in shield and hull damage, reduction in bullet speed – still fast but now it’s avoidable in
a small ship, slight range increase.
 CIG – Increase in bullet speed.
 HEPT – Shield and hull damage increase. Fire rate decrease, slight energy used increase.
 PRG – Rate of fire increase, energy used decrease.
 EMR – New sound effect.
 Kyons – reduced rate of fire again to help FPS and increased damage to compensate – Gamma Kyon
gets an extra boost to hull damage as it was rather low for a weapon of this size, but reduction in
shield damage as that was rather high for a 9km range, instant hit beam.
 PBC + FBC – reduction in energy used.
V4.2 Changes:
 Effects – fixed typo which was causing FAA and SSC trails not to show.
 PBC + FBC – Reduced volume more in line with other capital ship weapons.
 Alpha and Beta Kyons – reduced rate of fire to help with fps. Increased damage to compensate.
Reduced beam duration of Alpha Kyon.
 PALC – Decreased beam duration so it’s more effective against fighters. Increased range slightly.
 Added compatible APPC conversion pack. Converts CIG to APPC.
 Fixed error in factory pack scripts which stopped FBC being added to Terran Shipyards.
V4.1 Changes:
 FBC – Increased shield damage and hull damage(slightly).
 ISR – Increased shield damage. Slight increase to hull damage.
 PALC – Increased shield damage.
 TBC – reduced firing time so it delivers its energy in a shorter burst. Improves its effectiveness against
smaller ships. Reduced damage slightly.
 M/AML – added trail effect and new sound.
 Flak – reduced drop off distance for flak launch sounds.
V4.0 Changes from CMOD3:
 All flak weapons – increased bullet speed, increased rate of fire. Reduced damage. Added new, more
subtle trail effects to all three flak bullets.
 ISR – increased hull and especially shield damage so it becomes more of a medium weapon, taking
into account it is ion based. Reduced fire rate.
 PALC – Light beam. New effects. No longer ignores shields. Does some shield damage.
 TBC – Medium/large beam weapon. New effects. Does medium damage with average rate of fire and
energy drain. Range increased.
 FBC – Heavy beam weapon. New effects. Does very heavy damage with very slow rate of fire and
large energy drain. Range increased.
 PBC – Heavy beam weapon. Retains CMOD effects. Does heavy damage with slow rate of fire and
medium energy drain.
 FBL – Fire rate and bullet speed increased. Hull and shield damage decreased, energy decreased
 IPG – Speed increased. Shield damage increased, hull damage decreased, rate of fire increased. Direct
hit now reduces a ships speed by 30% for 4 seconds.
 IC – Range increased slightly, shield damage increased, energy drain slightly increased.
 Gauss – Range increased slightly.
 PBG – Reduced its effectiveness against shields.
 Created new Terran light weapon – Electro-Magnetic Repeater.
 Spare lasers are retained on the same subtype as the EMR in case Egosoft ever utilise them. They
have had their ware size set to 7 so that they do not appear on any ships weapon compatibility list.
 Script added to spawn all beam weapon forges in the universe and to add beam weapons to
equipment docks.
 All beam weapons repriced and set so forges only produce one beam per cycle.
 X3TC 2.7 Compatibility – added missing reps from TMissiles. It was decided to keep the CMOD Flak
sounds as they’re less laggy and sit better than the new 2.7 sound.
 Shield damage ratings for all weapons reduced by 10%
 Shield efficiencies for larger shields increased slightly.
 Script to add EMR to Orbital Patrol Bases and Defence Stations.
 Created Terran Electro-Magnetic Repeater Forge.
 Script to add several EMR Forges to the universe as well as to Shipyards in The Moon and Terran
Unknown Sector 1.
 Removed Betty phrases “Alert incoming missile” and “connection to trading network established”.
 Included Imperium3’s Missile Rebalance Mod. Also added a sped up version for use when using turret
scripts such as Missile Defence Mk2 or MARS. Open the cat/dat in the mod manager and rename the
alternate TMissiles file.
