Evochron Alliance 2.0 News Evochron Alliance version 2.188 demo. The demo can be upgraded to the full game just by purchasing it at http://starfighter.home.att.net/evochronalliance/index.htm. Version 2.188 is ready for download. The installer works as a patch also. Just download the latest file and install it. If you already have a registred copy this version will bring your version up to date. It includes the following improvements: - Performance optimizations for Windows Vista and slow systems running other versions of Windows. - Third person view now retains HUD and cockpit displays for combat effectiveness. - Purchasing station licenses now offers protection against hostile ships while docked. - Loaded ship upgrades now provide a 3D icon in the inventory console and description when highlighted. - Option to customize gun sound effects added (see the customizing kit for details). - Option to remove cockpit struts now available ('nostruts.txt' file option in the game's folder). - Text messages from crew members now display for full duration as with other message types. Mod features: One of the main design objectives for Evochron Alliance was to provide many new options to customize the game. Space-sim fans are very imaginative people who often have their own vision of how such a game should be done. Evochron Alliance gives you the freedom to change many aspects of the game to help bring your ideas to life. Such options include the ability to import your own ship designs, textures, HUD designs, create custom systems, and more. Combined with the diverse control options and freeform gameplay, Evochron Alliance provides a feature-packed template that can be used to explore your design ideas. So get the Evochron Alliance 2.0 Customizing (modding) Kit and start sending in those Mods so we can add them to the Evochron Alliance download section.
