Roy986在本站Wiki中建立了一个详细的太空游戏资料库(见此:http://wiki.deeptimes.org/index. ... :%E6%B8%B8%E6%88%8F),可惜大部分游戏简介都是英文。近来计划把Roy的英文简介翻译成中文……

原文及翻译内容见二楼。
另有,Academy-Tau Ceti II 以及Adanaxis两款游戏因简介实在无法看懂,故没有翻译;Evochron Renegades的简介因与《星际联盟》几乎全部相同,未译;自由枪骑兵因已广为熟悉,未译。《母星黄金版》则是完全看不懂的俄语;《塔尔历代记》则干脆不知道是什么语了;X:Beyond the Frontier词条或有错讹,未译;X3RE亦因与自由枪骑兵相同原因未译。
说起来这些段落翻译的难点并非翻译本身,而是一些专有名词以及奇怪术语。加以鄙人也并非英语专业人士,故翻译有误之处恳请指正,专有名词因为对游戏不熟悉翻译错讹之处也请指正。另译文未经润色,若有不通之处,希请见谅。

Apollo 18: The Moon Missions
《阿波罗18号:月球任务》

Apollo 18 simulates a fictional mission to the Moon in the early 1980's, following on from the last real flight (Apollo 17) before NASA cancelled the program. One of the game's key features was digitised speech, which sounds crackly like a real mission controller would. Telemetry screens provide realism, with the player having to set items and computer programs to get the crucial GO signal.

The game is split into several sequences. First is launch, where pressing the button to stop a moving bar at the right point determines success. Course corrections and an orbital rendezvous (to undock the lunar module) are next. The player had to land the module safely on one of three possible landing sites before running out of fuel. The moonwalk was next, and must be completed in a set time before returning to orbit. On the way home the astronaut performs a spacewalk to capture and repair a satellite. Finally there is the tense re-entry sequence and splashdown.

《战神叛乱》

A group of former Origin staffers and members of the original Privateer team got together to create this space sim, which is a spiritual succesor to the original Privateer.

You play Mike Marlowe, a romantic Han Solo-like character who finds himself on the run after scoring with a certain princess. In his run from the law, he finds a haven and steady jobs through a mysterious woman who eventually gets you caught into the main game plot involving the obligatory alien device and a group of warring factions, the IPEC, the Scavage, the Mayjr, etc. You are able to freely decide your relationship with every faction by the way you treat other ships, the missions you take, and other plot decisions which can lead you to 5 possible endings.

There are two selectable flight model (the standard Wing Commander-like and an inertial one that resembles I-War's). Gameplay consists of standard space "sim" action, with a series of missions that range from the usual patrols to bounty hunts, ambushes, all-out confrontations, etc. There's no trading whatsoever in the game, and the cargo space in the ship is used only to measure the quantity of equipment you can carry, and speaking of equipment you have a humongous selection of weapons (under three categories) missiles, and other goodies like active/passive radars, cloaking devices, jamming mechanisms etc. As well as 6 ships to fly in.

Multiplayer support is also available, with a persistent pilot who has to gain money and goods by duking it out on the net or via modem/lan in plain deathmatch, team battles or cooperative missions.

Babylon 5:I have Found Her-Danger and Opportunity
(暂译《巴比伦5号:我找到她了-危机与机遇》)

Babylon 5: I've Found Her is a space combat simulator game, based upon the popular TV series Babylon 5. It uses the "true space physics", seen in games such as Elite and I-War, which means the ship will continue moving in one direction until the engines are fired in another direction (unlike games such as Wing Commander where the ship handles like an airplane). The storyline in the default campaign (more are downloadable from their official web site) is centered around the Shadow War.

The game is mouse driven with keyboard inputs for things like speed and weapon selection. The plot is your typical "fight against all odds" story.

Darklight Conflict
《暗日》

Unencumbered by any extensive plot or storyline, Darklight Conflict pits humans against the alien Ovons in flight simulator-style spaceship dogfights. The game view is the cockpit of a single-person fighter with pretty simple controls: number keys to set speed, joystick or mouse for direction, and arrows for rolling and afterburners. And of course a trigger for firing weapons. The weapons available are, for the most part, variations on the familiar laser gun, with a few interesting twists such as the fragmentation cannon, which fires rounds that explode like fireworks at a certain distance. In the cockpit view, the heads up display shows the location of all ships and other objects (hyperspace portals, asteroids) in the area, as well as weapon, shield and energy status.

In single-player mode there are 50 missions to play against increasingly difficult opponents. Enemy ships range from fighters to bombers and capital ships, all rendered in 3-D with multiple light sources. Some missions are non-combat-oriented, such as clearing a path through an asteroid field. There is also a multiplayer mode, where up to six players can dogfight over a LAN or IPX network. Unfortunately there's no Internet play at this time. As noted, there's no real story that drives these interstellar brawls: furious combat is this game's sole raison d'etre.

Drift is a 3D Space Action-Simulation game set in a fictional world. Fly through 28 action-packed missions with your wingmen at hand and fight against the Dor forces to save the Phoenix Alliance.

The game is targeted at casual gamers interested in 3d space fights. The game features a linear storyline and pre-scripted missions like old classics X-Wing and TIE Fighter.

Players can travel to 3 different bases during the story, and buy weaponry there to improve their firepower.

Various mission types from escort through base exploration, to search and destroy requires proper collaboration between you and your wingmen to be successful.

The game features various types of fighter ships. Several kinds of weapons are at hand, combining them well is a major factor to success.

Multiplayer mode with up to 8 players over LAN or internet. The game is best controlled by a joystick with a thrustmaster.

《末日降临》是一款科幻背景的3D太空动作模拟游戏。游戏中你可以与你附近的僚机一道通过28个充满了动作要素的任务的考验,与多尔人(Dor)的军队作战,拯救长生鸟联盟(Phoenix Alliance)。

EGA Trek
(暂译:《EGA迷航》)

This is a 16-color DOS PC shareware clone of the classic "Star Trek" game of 1970's mainframes. However since Star Trek is a license, several names have been changed to avoid infringing the copyright, but the gameplay remains intact.

The game itself is simple. Each sector of the universe is an 8x8 grid containing planets, starbases, friendly or enemy starships and suns. Within this sector you can navigate to any point on the grid with impulse engines, or venture to a new sector using Warp engines. Your ship is equipped with lasers and torpedos to help defend yourself, and scanners to assess the nearby threats and nearby sectors. Additionally you'll need to find starbases for quick repairs and to resupply and may also discover new and unusual planets to beam down and explore. A nice touch to EGA Trek over all other clones is a "viewscreen" window which provides a crude graphic view of nearby objects.

Two distinct empires make your enemies list. The Mongols are the forces you'll run into again and again. Armed battle cruisers of various strengths. The other enemy are the Vandal, seen only in 1 type of ship, but able to cloak and avoid your sensors.

Should your vessel suffer enough damage, various systems will begin to fail and quite possibly you'll be down to your final reserve power and life support. From this point, sustaining more damage or not being able to repair the ship will result in the deaths of all crew members aboard and the ultimate failure of your mission. Success on the other hand is brought about by clearing the entire galaxy of hostile Mongol and Vandal fleets... with bonuses for discoveries, rescues and living crew members.

Elite
《精英》

I wasn't around to play this first time around but when I got my first computer (ZX +2 128k) it was the only game I could be arsed to play. At the time it was a ground breaker. 3D graphics and a never before seen freedom of movement through an incredibly large universe. Elite gave the player more freedom than the ability to customise and equip their ship and particate in a career of their own choice. This was great because it was something that had never been done before, all the space combat games of it's era, and baring in mind this was the mid-eighties were totally linear and there was never any option to change anything within the game.Back in the good old days it would take a player a while to adjust to a game's interface. Elite was no exception, It would take hours of reading the manual before you were prepared to go out into the Elite universe and succeed. Sadly if you were to put Elite in front of todays games players they would give up trying to play it within two minutes because it doesn't give you access to a simple mindless blast. Elite requires you to use your brain to plan your way to succeed. You need to learn which star systems house the goods required and at what prices. You also need to know which routes are safest. A game that includes combat, financial management, strategy and playability. But this was only the beginning of what was to come...

(暂译:《史诗》)

The sun is about to go supernova and humanity must find a new home. All the population is packed into a huge fleet of ships and they set off for a suitable planet. Unfortunately the route goes straight through the territory of a hostile alien race, the Rexxons.

The game is a space shooter but you also get surface missions on different planets. The main emphasis on the game is the graphics which were excellent when the game was released but this meant that the game was very short with just 7 levels. There are loads of cutscenes all with music from Holst's planet suite.

太阳马上就要变成一颗超新星,人类必须立刻找到一个新的家园。所有人都进入了一个巨大的船队,离开家园,去寻找一颗适宜居住的行星。不幸的是人类的航路恰好穿过敌对外星种族里克森人(Rexxons)的领土。

Escape Velocity Nova

In Escape Velocity Nova (EVN) you play the role of a starship captain, warping from system to system, trading commodities and engaging in combat.

The game interface is, oddly enough, a top-down perspective, such that you might find in Asteroids or Star Control. Point your ship in the direction you want to go, and thrust. Turn to face the opposite direction and thrust again to stop.

Should you get bored of flying around and exploring, there are a number of side-missions you can pick up whenever you feel like it, as well as a handful of "storyline" missions.

This game is very freeform; you don't even have to do any of the story missions at all. You can focus on upgrading your ship, being a pirate, or exploiting profitable trade routes. In addition, when you engage a ship in combat, it will become "Disabled" once you do enough damage. You can then board the ship and steal credits, resources, or even the entire ship itself (it becomes one of your escorts, or you can replace your primary ship with it). Naturally, ship captures don't always succeed.

在《逃离超新星》中,你要扮演的角色是一位星舰的船长,驾驶着飞船在星系之间跃迁,进行贸易、战斗。

Evochron Alliance is the sequel to the original Evochron with a lot of design aspects heavily influenced by player feedback and requests. It is a first person 3D space combat, trader, and mercenary simulation. You can make diverse buying, fighting, and travelling decisions in a large universe without the hesitation of turn-based gameplay or the reduced immersion of an overhead/outside view. You are literally in the action with a consistent first person viewpoint and make all gameplay decisions directly from the cockpit. Evochron Alliance offers many unique space combat and trading elements, including a real-time dynamic changing economy, seamless environment transitions, multi-level threat system, commodity/item trading, ship-to-ship trading in all gameplay modes, planetary descents, diverse control support (Mouse, Keyboard, AND Joystick control options), unrestricted open space jump drive travel and navigation system, realistic Newtonian physics, unified single player and multiplayer architecture, fuel resource management, per ship bribing, realistic revolving inventory availability, in-cockpit inventory and trade management, gravity effects, AI based trade negotiating, and more. Complete control and consistent player interaction are additional unique and important qualities which add to the immersion and realism of the game. Unlike most other recent space-sims, you aren't pulled away from flight control when you get close to a planet or other object in space. You are in control of your ship the entire time, including docking and jump drive travel. Evochron doesn't pull you out of the action for a non-interactive cut scene or menu sequence. You're in control during all gameplay.

Flatspace

Flatspace is a game in the veins of Elite/Frontier etc, although with a bit of the roguelike-Game approach. Gameplay strongly resembles the one of Frontier: Elite II, you can trade, attack ships, dock at stations, etc. You can do what you want - earn money as a mercenary and accept courier jobs or safely escort passengers to other sector. Or be a space pirate, you can raid other ships and later even destroy whole stations! Everything is possible. The game is seen from a top-down viewpoint, just like Asteroids.

Descent: Freespace is a new chapter in space dogfight sims. The graphics are bigger, better, with more weapons and missiles/bombs. The capships in this game are truly HUGE (kilometers long, compared to your puny fighter). It also has true online multiplayer that puts it heads and shoulders above the rest. Take fighters and bombers on attack, recon, escort, and sweep missions against enemy capships and fighters/bombers. Defend your own capships and other assets... Your rating and performance is noted after every mission, with suggestions (if applicable). You can call in reinforcements (if available), and your wingmen actually do fight intelligently, as there can be dozens of fighters flying about.

It has been 32 years since GTA lost contact with Earth. As a young pilot joining the fleet of the GTVA (Galactic Terran-Vasudan Alliance), you will be fighting the Neo-Terran Front, a rebel faction that opposes GTA's alliance with the Vasudans. Then the Shivans showed up again...

Freespace 2 is basically bigger and better Freespace. You get better ships (you can fly all the older ships if you like), more and more powerful weapons (both guns and missiles), and capital ships that can actually put up a fight with their anti-fighter beam cannons, turrets, flak, and missile launchers.

The capital ships now also engage each other with HUGE beam cannons that shoots beams WIDER than your craft! The beam can and do punch STRAIGHT THROUGH the enemy ship! Watch two or more of these leviathans fighting is like watching a Sci-Fi movie, except you are IN it! Contribute to the fight by flying bombers (with huge anti-ship torpedoes) or fly defense and take out the enemy bombers. Fly escort missions to protect assets, recon enemy assets, test new weapons, even fly a few missions for SPECOPS (optional).

Freespace 2 features full multiplayer support at PXO (Parallax Online) and SquadWars.com, with co-op, team-based, or free-for-all dogfight, with many different missions to choose from.

Freespace 2 also includes FRED2, a full featured editor that you can use to create your own missions and campaigns.

And Frontier's universe (with approx. 100,000,000,000 planets and moons) is so big you'll never see the end of it.
